Note that if you are serious about farming and learning about how a farm works, we highly recommend you apply for the full-time position. You miss out on a lot as a part-time worker since a lot happens and grows in the 4 days/week that you aren't on the farm, including seeing how our vegetables are sold. We also cannot give many responsibilities to part-time workers for the same reason so career development will be slower for returning workers.
WHAT WE OFFER
-
Vegetables and flowers from the farm
-
Opportunity to visit regional farms throughout the season
-
Workers Compensation
-
Funds available to access educational events and resources
-
Lunch is provided on Fridays starting in June
-
An extra perk - you can swim in the Assawaga River during hot summer days!
